Big white fluffy dog breeds have won my heart with their dramatic coats and temperaments.
Do you know other big white fluffy dog breeds besides what I have included on this list?
#1 Great Pyrenees
The Great Pyrenees is a mountain shepherd’s dog that originates from the Pyrenees Mountains to assist shepherds as flock guardians for millennia.
They were fitted with a heavy iron wolf collar studded with long nails.
They can be independent, strong-willed, and reserved dogs.
They are tolerant around kids, which makes the Great Pyrenees a great all-around family pet.
Great Pyrenees females weigh about 85 pounds; males are about 110 pounds.

In 1675, King Louis XIV of France named the Pyrenees the Royal Dog of France.
#2 Samoyed

With its fluffy white coats and the“Sammy smile,” the Samoyed is a breed that belongs to the Spitz or Northern dog group. Samoyeds are named after the tribe of people found in Russia.
Their bottom coat is soft and wool-like, while the top is coarse and straight. Samoyeds have nice dark pigment around the eyes, nose, and lips.
They can be trained to compete in herding trials. Samoyeds are excellent companions, especially for small children, although they may try to herd them. The first official standard for the breed was adopted in England in 1909.
#3 Old English Sheepdog

The Old English Sheepdog is a large breed of dog that originated in the southwestern counties of England. Puppies are born with a black and white coat.
You should also know that the Old English Sheepdog can be strong-willed. The AKC recognised this breed as a member of the herding group in 1888.

#4 White Swiss Shepherd Dog

The White Swiss Shepherd Dog is a herding dog that originates from the white lines of the German Shepherd Dog. In 1999, the United Kennel Club recognised the White Shepherd as a distinct breed.
The coat comes in two varieties, medium and long.
White Swiss Shepherds require a good amount of exercise to stay healthy.
#5 Kuvasz

The Kuvasz is a Hungarian breed of flock guardian dog originally used for protecting livestock such as sheep, horses, and cattle.
These dogs are wary of strangers.
The coat is ivory-white or white; it is thick and coarse, with a soft undercoat. In 1934, the Kuvasz was accepted by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale.
#6 Komondor

The Komondor is a big, muscular dog covered with dense, white cords. Komondors were brought to Hungary by Cumans, who settled in Hungary during the 12th century.
I love that a Komondor can sense the intentions of anyone in its presence. It was bred to think and act independently and make decisions on its own.
#7 Maremmano-Abruzzese Sheepdog

The Maremmano-Abruzzese Sheepdog is an Italian breed of livestock guardian dog that is indigenous to the Maremma region of Tuscany and Lazio.
Probably you know (or not), but the Maremmano traces its origins to the Tibetan mastiff. The traditional use of the breed is as a guardian for the protection of sheep flocks against wolves. The Maremmano has a solid, muscular build and a thick white coat.
#8 Borzoi

The Borzoi originated in sixteenth-century Russia, and it is descended from a collie-like Russian sheepdog and the Arabian Greyhound.
Once known as the Russian Wolfhound, it is an athletic breed of dog with a calm temperament. I like the Borzoi since it has an elegant appearance.
The Borzoi coat is silky and flat, usually wavy or slightly curly. White is a common and allowed colour for the Borzoi. His lustrous coat requires regular bathing and brushing.
#9 Dogo Argentino

The Dogo Argentino originated in the province of Cordoba, Argentina. It was developed by Dr. Antonio Nores Martinez in the 1920s with the intention of creating a new breed of big game hunting dog.
The dog is recognised by its short and sleek white coat (okay, not fluffly!!!).
According to the official breed registries, it is okay for the Dogo Argentino to have a single black or dark-coloured spot on the head. In 1973, it was accepted by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale.
